The Titan Build

So my build is finally gaining traction and it's about time to start the thread. Sometime late July I bought a 2008 Navistar FE-300. It's 35' long, front engine with a 7.6 Maxxforce DT and an Allison 2500 PTS with 128k miles on it. It was won on auction and driven three hours home from Lincoln, NE. A week later I put my notice in at work, two weeks turned into four, then I moved out of the city to build my home for the indefinite future.
It's been three weeks since then and the bus has been gutted, fitted with sub-floor and is more or less ready for construction. The floor was pretty rusted and was corroded through in a few spots in the rear fender wells. I wire brushed all of the loose rust away, primed and painted with Rustoleum, and patched the holes with sheet metal and epoxy. Foil backed, 3/4" foam board went down before foil tape over the seams and 1/2" OSB.

Most of my electrical and plumbing components have been acquired. For electrical I'm going with Longi 380w panels x8, an Epever Tracer 100a MPPT controller, 3.5Kwh, 24v, BYD batteries x2, and an Aim's 3000w inverter/charger. This will, in theory, power a refrigerator, freezer, A/C, lights, cameras..., computers, printers, tool and appliance chargers etc. For water supply I have a 42gal. fresh tank and a 30gal. grey tank on the way. I'll run a 12v jet pump into a 14gal. pressure tank to supply a kitchen faucet and two shower heads, all piped with PEX. I plan to forgo the black tank and use a composting toilet instead.

Those are about all the set/known details so far. I'll attach some pictures. Thanks for reading.

Until next time,
TJ

Great start. You’re a couple steps ahead of me so I’ll be keeping an eye on this.
