First things first... I can't very well work in the engine compartment if the hood won't stay up! So two new hood struts. They are 28 inchers with 150lbs of holding pressure per.

...and a son getting at the nuts of the seat bolts. Which are coming out much easier than anticipated. They haven't moved in 25 years!

Broken... he was wearing a pair of swimming goggles in the interim that I let him take off for the pic. Rusty bits in the eyes sure does suck!

One critical thing for you; be sure to get grease in the rear springs. A lot of shops try and when it wont go in they just skip it. These buses are known for braking rear springs if they dont get lubed.

Mine is a 2012. It has an 18 speed in it but I think they only sell them with automatics now.

The particulate filter and control box for the regen retrofit. It was inoperable with parts missing and bypassed, so I figured I'd just get the rest of it out.
