Thumbs up inspiring and educational

INTELLIGENT, energetic, i like the hints,
how thick was the wht foam?
how much air space between the wall and foil side?
R value?

Dont use solid Romex housewire like many do.
use stranded flexible wires like in the bus and our cars.

P.S. i like your narrative and hate the music,

The foam,

Thank you, despite how much work it is, it's actually a lot of fun! The foam on the floor is 1/2 inch and it's 1.5 inch in the ceiling and walls. The roof will also be painted with Henerys Tropicool rubber so it will be great for keeping in heat and keeping it cool. It's far more important to me that heat doesnt escape our the roof then it is cool air coming through the floor.

There is about an 2.5 inchs between the wall and the foam and 1 inch in the ceiling.

There is an insulated foam padding you put down under the final floor thats supposed to triple the heating value of my foam under the sub-floor. Thus part of the reason I wasn't overly worried about a little thinned version on the floor.

Haha I get that alot. The music will be far less used now that it's building time.

Thanks for all the questions!

Yes, do tell. What is this magic tripling R value padding you speak of?

The padding

I will post it when my buddy replys. I have a few friends that do hardwood floors and they have been telling me it's the stuff to use but don't recall off the top of my head what it's called.

Underlayment

Just so we are clear, I have great friends that do flooring and am going based off what they have told me about the increased insulation power of this underlayment.

The layers go: foam insulation, subfloor, insulated underlayment and wood flooring.

I don't see any insulting qualities at all on that product, nor do they tout any claims to help R factor on the product details.

Again, I am not saying the product claims that. I'm just sharing what my flooring guys have told me about their experience.
