Just got the new bus. Ryan at MJ Bus Co has tons of nice busses for sale.
I paid $3500 for mine. He put two new front tires on and two new batteries in it before I picked it up. I'm very happy with the bus. Here's a video of most of the process. I went by myself, so I didn't get it all filmed like I'd like to have.

How do you lock your bus? Mine has no locks. I bought a couple hasp locks with keys but I discovered they’re too small after trying to put them on in the poring rain when I got home. Now I have a couple holes to patch.

Oil change
The DT466e takes a Napa 7744xd filter not a Napa 1979 like a DT466. Spent all day running around after buying the wrong one.

Started taking out the seats. It’s dirty rusty tedious work under there. The Fe300 makes it impossible to get to the seat bolts north of the rear axle. I’m going to have to grind them off. And for others. My harbor freight air impact wrench had no effect on the rusty bolts. I had to switch to a Chicago electric heavy duty impact wrench from harbor freight and a breaker bar. 1/2 inche bolts and nuts all the way down and angle iron mounts that are rusted in place but not welded. You have to mock them loose so they don’t come flying off and hit someone or worse, give you a flat tire.

So a 8 yr old neighborhood kid though it would be fun to climb in the roof hatch of the bus and play. After becoming stuck in the locked bus he must have called for help. The other kids took a brick and broke out all the door windows. I got it on tape from across the street. Today I went to Home Depot and got a couple plexiglass panels and cut them to size 14x 36 3/4 and popped them in with the original gaskets. Can’t see through them but they’re not breakable.

Why can you not see though them? You did remove the protective cover from both sides?

I covered a home-made camper-top with plexiglass from Home Depot once. The sunlight made it expand, and it cracked around every bolthole. My friend worked with Lexan sheets used for kid's playgrounds. He took a scrap piece, placed it on the grass, and hit it with a sledgehammer with a 3' handle flung from over his head as hard as he could (he's over 6' and 200+ lbs) and it bounced off. He hit it again and it creased. He said use that Lexan stuff...a bit pricier though. The plexiglass I know of will not shatter, but it will break with ease.

In fact, the plexiglass I've used would be flexible enough to simply kick-out of the gaskets holding it in the window, maybe without even cracking. But what else can you do in the meantime?

I'd start looking for replacement glass. Wish I still had the phone number for the bus bone yard here south of Atl. He tried to sell me a whole bus, but the frame could be crushed with two fingers! He had HUNDREDS of them like this (crazy, eh?)

Next project. The water pump started leaking while parked. It’s next to impossible to get to on this front engine bus. All these little side projects are putting the brakes on my getting the seats out and the interior started.

My doors are just rectangular glass. I’d imagine you can get safety glass cut to size anywhere. I think the trouble comes when looking for rounded corners or curved glass.
