got some more work done on Burley today I HATE RIVETS

It wasn't bad the way i did it is I knocked the center metal pin through the rivet and then used a rolled chisel in my air hammer started steep with the chisel and once under the head just rolled the chisel to lift and shear the rivet took about 10 minutes first panel and about 20 min for each additional row not as young as I once was.
decided Im going to do a roof raise only going to go about a foot or so maybee 15 inches want to stay under 12'4" need a little more height because there is going to be a bed in the rear that will raise up into the ceiling when not in use and also I'm going to loose about 4-5 inches for insulation.

I have a question has anybody ever put a 2 ton suspension under a short bus or even a one ton rear axle and front axle I would love to make this 4x4.

I HATE RIVETS PS, how can I make my pics come out right side up
thanks

great bus and good plans you have! i raised 16 inches and im around 11' height.

for the sideways pics, if you are using your phone to take them make sure the auto-rotate is off and your phone is orientated correctly. if the problem is on your pc, open the picture in paint (if you have windows) then click the rotate button, which should be by the resize button and then just save the picture. hope any of that helps.

Yeh I have part of the build on here.
There are some Rockwell axles floating around in the area along with there is a an old tree trimming 4x4 chassis 25k gvw truck I can think of. 1ton stuff would be marginal. Even f550 19k maybe marginal.

Well I would take the bus down to the local grain co-op and weigh it. Before and after you get done converting it.
Than find axles that are up to the weight of the finished bus. It would suck to have a failure while driving. You also need to see if rims and tires are available to handle the weight Just my opinion.
