We removed our excess wiring

We delayed attacking the excess wiring we wanted to remove but we ended up understanding a lot more about the electrical on our bus.

I saw your post and was inspired. Actually it went to this point on my bus because I am building a new dash and everything else was in my way.
And, I actually am an Electrician. I applaud your efforts though for diving in deep on things you were not that familiar with, but you are now..

How did it work out? Bus runs and no smoke??

Wow that dash looks great! No smoke and we passed our state inspection, we have a handle now on the lighting wiring and it's nice to have the excess from the removed lights out of the way. We are planning on hiding the wiring running to the back of the bus behind a removable panel so in case we need to access it we won't be ripping apart our walls/ceiling. It's a constant learning experience for sure!

While you have access it is very cheap to run spares with the harness and label them. A cheap waterproof label is any color but black electric tape folded over on the wire and labeled with a sharpie.
Think back up cameras, spare 12 volt circuits, leveling jacks, future hi amperage 12 volts to charge batteries in something you are towing, zombie lights, undead lights, alarm switches for the step down or burglar....
Do not forget to take a couple of pictures of the locations
Good Luck!
