Windows

Im struggling with making windows decisions, knowing I’m not going to put the bus windows back. The front half of the bus will be mostly windows, only small ones in the back half.

What is everyone having the best luck with? What is the safest? What is easier to find used? What are easier to install?

The next order of business is a 18” roof raise, if the extra room has any influence on window cost/decisions for anyone else.

Also, merry Christmas and happy holidays!

School bus windows are notorious leakers.

I used windows from a salvaged travel trailer that I got on Craigslist, for free!

About your roof raise, get your Rv insurance first, before the roof raise as they will ask for pictures. The latest insurance trend is too not insure a skoolie with roof raise.

I had gotten insurance, let it lapse as I was in the build process. When I went to reinstate the policy they said NO!

I had to insure as commercial for personal use, a bit higher premium indeed!

I manufactured my own window blank outs, and only kept a few windows front and rear. I obtained a medium size RV window I plan on replacing one of my windows with.
Bluebird makes replacing windows very easy.
