How did you get it insured before driving it home after purchase?

1) "Hex pattern" (3m) this is by far the easiest to remove and also held up better than the rest. Just pull slowly when it's warm and you should be fine.

2) "Diamond Pattern" This stuff is horrible, it falls apart and needs to be just scraped off with a single sided razor. It also leaves 90% of the glue on the bus (with 3M 90% goes with the tape)

3) "Roswell Tape" This stuff falls apart too if you just pull on it. But I discovered that if pull lightly and run a sharp razor up and down to break the adhesive bond as you pull, it will peel off (leaving half of the glue). The Roswell name is from the SciFi pattern in the tape (very odd stuff)

Next is finding the best way to remove the glue... (goo gone and orange oil all useless)
Hello there in SF
Great looking bus you got there. A clean rag, some acetone and a little elbow grease is all you need for all the decal adhesive on the bus. Change the rag often as it loads up with the old gum and wear good gloves.
Cheers

This adhesive remover wheel will blow your mind!

Was cleaning a sunroof frame with every adhesive removal option you can imagine until, after hours of labor, I was done. Called my broheim for some advice and he went through the typical rhetoric of acetone, goo gone, et al. After he was certain I'd tried all that, he told me to buy this rather absurdly expensive (about $45) gum rubber adhesive remover wheel. To be short, it was worth EVERY penny and can be used many times. You are welcome.

aye, the rubber wheels are magic. But the $7 ones on amazon are just as good as the $40 ones.
