500 Members
Today we hit 500 actual members. We have been hovering around this number for a while but we kept dropping back below after I deleted the spammers.
Today I deleted about 25 spam members and afterwards we ended up with 500 real people.
It was June 14, 2004; two and a half years ago, that we had just 100. We are averaging one real new member every two days, and 10.25 posts/day since Nov 23, 2003.

CONGRATULATIONS It's arguably the best board in the land for the combined quality of host, members and subject matter! Well done, Sir

Your actual number is 1109 so that means that I have had to delete 600 spam accounts so far.

What are you running for a server currently and how much bandwidth do we chew up just out of curiousity?

A hearty THANKS to Steve. I had a problem getting registered but Steve went the extra mile to "git er dun." That let me know Steve takes the site very very seriously.
Thanks again Steve And thanks to Andrew for getting the message to Steve.

The server is a 1.4 GHz PPC with 80 GB of space.
The skoolie.net website currently uses up only 2.7 GB of space.
We average about 7.8 GB/month of trafic.
Skoolie.net got this new server about one year ago:
http://www.skoolie.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1029
Then the servers were migrated:

Here is a current pick of the room skoolie.net resides in:

Rack mounted computers actually mnounted in racks, eh? I've never seen such a thing! So if we're running off a T-1, who are we sharing with? Is there a big out of pocket expense you have to swallow to keep skoolie.net up and running? I'd happily donate to keep things up and running, especially in our current advertisement-free format.
