Annoying popup

I keep getting these “congratulations you’re the lucky winner” pop ups. Is it just me?

Nope, your the only lucky winner. You get free tickets, they aren't good for anything, but they are free. You've won a hundred dollar bill, would you like my phone bill, my cable bill or the interent bill?

Let the site admins know through a PM, although more than likely they'll chime in here.

While I run adblocking suites on browsers, disabling them doesn't seem to give me any popups, although PiHole may also be blocking them but I doubt it is.

If it only happens on this site that's something to address to the admins or perhaps the site owners, but if it's on other sites too it's likely a pesky browser extension to full blown malware.

Can you give any details to recreate the popup?

I can’t recreate it. It happened 4 times even after clearing all website data from my phone. I’ve seen it before on other sites and generally I’ll just stay away from them.

Oh dear, looks like it may be ad related targeting mobile users.

Here are two other sites with users reporting the same site nad similar issues within the last 12 hours:

https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...adds-back.html

https://www.mustang6g.com/forums/thr...s-back.126913/

The latter seems to reference it was a problem before.

Chances are you've been cookied by an advertiser somewhere on the internet. This is especially a problem on mobile devices. Close your browser, clear your cache and if on a mobile device, do a restart.
