Can't post pictures
Hi ... I'm not able to post pictures (this might be my own ineptitude).
I want to post pictures in threads on the forum and also I see that most people have an image as their icon and don't see how to add that.
Any suggestions?
Thanks!

To change (or add) your avatar pic, click "User CP" in the upper left and then click "Edit Profile Picture".
You have enough posts (5+) to post pictures, so I think the problem is that you're using the "Quick Reply" box which doesn't have the paperclip icon that you use to add pictures. If this is the case, click the "Go Advanced" button and you'll get an entry screen with the paperclip button.

Thanks!
Hmm ... is there a reason my pics are coming out upside down (they're right-side up on my computer)? Is there a way to rotate them?

Convert your pics to PNG format before posting them, and then they will always be rotated correctly.

I'm still not able to attach photos. I use Go Advanced and click on the paperclip, which shows a small screen with an upload function, but when I do that and it shows my photo file, it then doesn't attach to my post.
What am I doing wrong?

After you press
[Choose] and select you photo from the file menu, you must press the
[Upload] button, at the for right of the screen, then press the
[Close] button, at the bottom, to close the upload window and return to text.

JPEG files have an embedded property that says what the picture's orientation is (portrait, landscape, upside-down etc.) and this forum can mess up the display of a pic because of that. You can fix the problem by stripping the metadata from the JPEG before uploading it (although I'm not 100% sure that fixes the problem because I've never done that here) or by converting your JPEG to PNG format (which has no orientation property and hence no rotation problems on this forum) before uploading it (I'm 100% sure that works because that's always what I do).
Either solution requires a bit of work before uploading pics - there's no quicker fix.
BTW (in my browser at least) the pic you just posted is upside down in your post but if I click on it it displays right-side-up in a popover.

I have never been able to post pictures, either. I'm using my phone, since that's where the pictures are. Do I have to use a computer? Is the picture link in the wrong format? I'm a tech dinosaur, have literally no idea how to post a picture.
This is the link I can get from my picture "library".
