Gallery Version 2

I am in the process of upgrading the Gallery to the next generation and it should be fully funcional soon. This should give a huge improvement on the capability and speed of the gallery.

The upgrade is done.

If you have hidden items you may need to go back and hide/change permissions of them.

If you are missing any pictures let me know I will recover them.

Pretty neat new format for the gallery!

Got a couple questions. . .do I need to redo my photo captions / comments? I noticed that some are clipped off when paging through the albums. Also, in other forums where I have referenced your gallery, the links no longer work, do I need to re-reference them?
The previous questions are NOT meant as ANYTHING negative about the new gallery format!
Thanks for all your great work in maintaining this board and gallery!

Yes you will have to redo the comments if they were too long.

You may have to change your links if you linked to you gallery, all pictures however should still work properly where you posted them.

If anyone needs their captions fixed let me know and I will import them in a different way.

How many characters are allowed per caption in the new format? It will probably be easier for me to change my lengthy ones than for you to have to try to convert / re-import them.

There is no limit on the new captions. What happened is that the old captions are seen as the new titles. You can change the title and add as long of caption as you want.

So how do we upload images from the gallery into a post now? I tied it the old way

[img]img.url[/img] & it only prints that text... no image

I copied the image location like I always did before by right clicking the picture I wanted to put in the post.

Sorry, forgot to setup mod_rewrite. Should work as normal now.

Sorry to everyone who has tried to register for the gallery recently. I did not have the process setup correctly and I have now everyone who registered. If you had problems and your account is not working please send me a message or try to register again.
