How to thank someone

I've been surprised by a couple of thank you messages. How do you send those?

I am using the website on my smart phone. It give me the same buttons if I am on mobile or desktop. I have thanks, quote, multi quote, and quick reply. Are you using tap a talk or some other app?

If you don't see it, you might just not have high enough post count to issue thanks to someone.

My Samsung tablet has "quote" & "reply" only. My desktop has all the buttons

My Dad had a saying "If it were a snake it would have bit you." I was looking on the Reply to Thread screen, not on the screen with the big THANK YOU and quote, multi-quote etc. buttons.

Duh.
