Need Moderators!!!

timmylc has basically been doing all of the work and you cannot believe how much spam gets attempted to be posted on this site.

If anyone here thinks they can help out let us know.

Perhaps if you elaborated more on what being a moderator entails, more folks would try their hand at it. I am totally clueless as to what a moderator does. Oh except the ones on IRV2. Their moderators pull your posts if you disagree with their views or make the mistake of correcting them. Not that I would do either of those things.

having worked on another board, i can believe how much spam there is..not to mention the flakes... its a lot of work ...
and not much reward...
i think the spam, etc will only get worse as time goes on...
just my 2 cents.

Sure could use a little more help deleting the spam.....

If you volunteered to be a moderator ..... then by all means click on the [ Moderator Control Panel ] at the top of the forum page on each visit to the forum and get a few spams off the site.
The last 45-50 pages are 90-95 % all GreyEagle.......... The rest was rainbowboxer......

As of 8:15 am CST this morning there where (In total there are 272 posts waiting for approval.) As of now 8:35 am there are 0 ..........
The clearing of the constant influx of spam is an ongoing task for all of us. Please do your part.......

I deleted 450 spam accounts this morning, that should help a lot.

It sure does..........
with the 450 + the 272 + another 18 = 740 spams in one night or the 12 hours I was off line.... that's more than 1 per minute.......

I guess this means shoolie dot net is pretty polular with the spammers.......

no .......... just the new members that sign up daily and start posting.......... The approval requirement just makes it easier for us to delete all the crap in one place instead of sorting thru the forum page by page to find it. on y newbies with less than X number of post are required approval..........

Thanks for all your hard work, moderators... it's much appreciated that the site stays up and running. We bus folk really need the compendium of information and ideas harbored here. Don't give up the ship... or the Blue Bird as the case may be.
