Pictures Turning

I am sure there is a simple solution but I haven't been able to figure it out. Is there any way to turn pictures in the posts before publishing? Or to turn the picture For the avatar. Almost all the pictures I attach with my IPhone are turned on the side and I can't seem to figure out how to right them.

Hold your phone sideways when taking pictures.

That would probably be the easiest! But there really isn't a way to turn them in the forum? Seems like something that should be easy to do like a little button when adding pictures...

Not so far off the mark....

When you take pics with a mobile device, it auto-rotates them for you depending on the orientation of the device - the forum can't do that. The work around is to take your picture or open the existing image on your device, hold the device upright in portrait view and resave the image with a new file name.
