Ok...I'm not sure I'm the only one but that's the setup I have...only it isn't that fancy really. I have a 20" wide screen Samsung (1680 x 1050) that I bought on sale for just under $300. I'll admit to having a "nice" video card but not extravagant (a GeForce 6800 SLI (but I don't have a second card)); it was just a bit over $200 when I bought it a year ago. I put the computer together to run World of Warcraft and it does very well for that but that game doesn't push the envelope like some so I didn't have to build a monster.

I am currently playing with a 50 Rogue and a 40 Mage on Khaz'goroth (Oceanic), both gnomes ;) I will probably quit again when it warms up outside.

Maybe I just need to consider spending money on a new computer....nah....it'll probably be 5 years before I upgrade again after this last one.

2.54 mhz Pentium 4 "northwood" processor
bottom of the barrel 945 chipset Intel mobo
512mb of DDR-something memory (I haven't popped it out to look)
120gb Seagate and 160 gb Western Digital hard drives that I had laying around
Toshiba CD-Rom, Toshiba 2x DVD burner, and a real live floppy drive
eVGA GeForce 5200 128mb video card

What's really scary is that this computer is about 6 weeks old and brought me into a whole new era of computing compared to the old "thing" I was using. Not bad for $50 I figure....

Am I the only person left that has not played World of Warcraft? I was just pumped that the new vid card had an s-video output so I could play my NES and SNEW emulators on the tv!

Acutally doesn't sound too bad. I wasn't running with anything better until I built this computer about 15 months ago.

I've played on Sargeras my whole WoW career spanning back to June of 2005. I wasn't even much of a gamer before that but... The darn game is just addictive. I've spent too much time at it with a 60 Druid, a 60 Hunter, a 45 Rogue, a 35 Mage, and a couple of toons in their 20's.

I'm glad my new bus project came along; it's been a couple of weeks now since I even logged in. I'm going to start getting hammered by my guild mates in a couple of weeks though when the expansion comes out. Grinding my Druid and Hunter to 70 is going to be a tough go. I'm not sure I'll do it; I really want to keep working on the bus.

Solitaire anyone?

The old computer was this:

450mhz P3 Katmai
440BX Intel mobo
320 mb of sd-ram (64mb PC100, (2x) 128 mb PC133, but FSB was limited it to PC100 anyway)
8 mb 1xAGP graphics
Soundblaster 2400 (I think) sound card
100 MB Zip Drive
a real live floppy drive
Lite-on 40x cd-rom
Lite-on 16x cd burner
10 gb W.D. hdd
80 gb W.D. hdd
160 gb W.D. hdd
120 gb hdd
PCI SCSI for the scanner
PCI 56k modem
PCI LinkSys nic card
PCI usb 2.0 including a 3.5 inch drive bay front panel

Notice that it had 7 IDE drives and the capability to only support 4 so I spent a lot of time shutting the computer down and changing the BIOS to use the various drives.

What's really too bad is that it's in a new tower with just the 80gb drive, the cd rom, the cd burner, etc working for my sister. There's just nothing wrong with that thing other than it's a little slow for this modern WoW stuff. The only reason I got rid of it was cause I got such a deal on the new one.
