The Words under my name
So when I post stuff on this forum my Name shows up first. Then.....under the name are the words "mini-skoolie".
I don't have a "Mini-skoolie" and don't know how it got there. Also I've tried getting rid of it in my profile but it doesn't show up there.
so..... Help! How do I get rid of it or change it?
Genghis sends.

It's just means you're a rookie to this site. After you get more posts, it will change to something else.

Is there any type of decoder ring that spells this out? After a certain number of posts can a forum member fill in the blank themselves. Seems to me that rules like this could incentivize members to write to write generate volumes of meaningless non-value added posts; like this one...

that would be against forum rules, if im not mistaken. obviously there will be some meaningless posts, since people like to joke and have fun, but dont do it in excess.
and its just a seniority tag. cant change it to whatever, it just represents your presence on the forum. not sure if it says anywhere what the different levels are. never checked

Understood. I will endeavor to earn my way up the ranks from "Mini-Skoolie" all the way to "Skoolie VIP".
Maybe extra seniority points could be given for good grammar, punctuation, and use of capitalization...

Doubtful.....the use of proper syntax is highly discouraged here.

Not by me, I won't pay much attention to a post that is hard to read because of poor and/or lazy sentence construction and at least some punctuation. If spell check can't figure out what I want to say I figure out some other way to say it.
The numeral 4 is not a word. U/u is not a word. Prolly is not a word.
I may not always get it right but I give it a good try. It has been over 40 years since I didn't pay attention to that stuff in school.
While I'm on my soapbox, I'm not talking about screen names here, what kind of person doesn't think about themselves to capitalize at least their own name? I get orders from people that don't even bother to punctuate anything in their address even their names.
End of rant.

I may not have used proper punctuation and capitalization, but you obviously understood what I wrote so I don't really see how that is an issue. I don't need to capitalize my letters in order for it to be understood. I don't use u or 4 or say misspell words like kewl.

I casually care about what my posts read like but I don't get all knotted up about it I figure folks are here to seek and exchange information to the best of their abilities and although I don't if possible use abbreviations it is the way the young and social media addicts communicate so I try to cope.

And from personal experience.....at 250 posts you will turn into a "Bus Nut".
I don't feel any different though.

But it's nice to see that with an average of ~8.4 posts a day, every day for the last 25 months you keep trying...

It's a banner day here at The Comfort Eagle Compound. I passed the 100 post threshold and I am now officially a "Skoolie". I climbed thru the ranks from a lowly "Mini-skoolie" to the rank of "Almost There" and now to "Skoolie.
I am beaming with pride, and I would like to thank all the little people who made this possible.
