Timing Out
Still having fits with the new timing. I log on, read 2 posts and type a reply...then if I submit I get get the sign in page again. Worst part is that after signing back in, the system just sends me to a blank page instead of back to my incomplete message. Occasionally I can get back to it if I click the right "Back" title but usually not and anything I have written including posted pix is simply gone forever and I have to start all over.
Does the re-log-in really have to take place every 2 or 3 minutes?
Am I doing something wrong here?

Same happens here though not as often. I anticipate it and now and I always do a "copy" of my message so I can just "paste" it, should the system log me out. Glad to here I'm not the only one.
I've been thinking it has something to do with my internet though. If I should ever identify it, I'll be sure to let you know, Tango.

Bumping an old thread to say how sad I am about this issue. I just spent 20 minutes typing up a post and BAM -- GONE -- when I had to log in again. I'm not in the mood to retype it, so maybe another day. How can I fix this issue? I use Safari, but it only happens with this forum, others never log me out.

I get logged out regularly if I am not clicking on different pages, but on the new BBS once I hit the sign-in again it goes back to what I had been writing.
I also discovered on the old BBS that did erase my in-progress ramblings, that if I hit "Preview Post" every now and then it would reset the timer . . . .

This is usually a cookie problem.
If you are having problems logging in, staying logged in, getting logged out at page changes or seeing extra ads or content ads (underlined text with ad links) you are getting logged out when you change pages on the site.
Steps to fix this issue (not all may be needed):
Empty your temp internet files (browsing history),
Delete the Skoolie cookies,
Set your browser’s security to medium-high,
Clear your cache,
Log out.
Log back in and click the “Remember Me” button.
If you are still having trouble, you may need to specifically enable cookie exchange with the forum in your browser settings or set your system security setting to med-high.
You may need to close your browser or reboot your computer.
Adios, Dirk

When I have that problem I, especially if I've been typing a lot, do a copy of what I've been writing periodically so that I can just paste what I wrote.

Some members type a long post in Word or other word processing program, then copy and paste, to avoid losing their work.
