Way to print an entire thread with images?

There's at least 3 really amazing threads on here that are many pages long and loaded with excellent content. I would love to be able to save them in their entirety as PDFs with images so I can reference them without needing the internet.
I know there's a few standalone PHPBB scrapers out there, but most of what I found was kind of hacky and none of them seem to grab images.

I know I can do a Print Thread, but that's still only up to 50 articles per page and doesn't embed the images (or even the text formatting?).

Has anyone tried to do this before and had any success?

Try PRINT, destination of printer-save as PDF.... IT will provide a preview before it prints and pics are attached.

I was hoping to get the _entire_ thread in one print, this only does one page at a time (for me) and it gets all the 'wrapper' stuff at the top as well.
