1985 345 international motor ?s

hi all, i am converting my 1985 s1700 IHC 345 v-8 gas bus. i wanted to know if my 345 v-8 is the same as a 345 v-8 that came in the little IHC scout 4 wheel drive trucks. just wandering if parts are ever needed in the future. thanks jesse

I think they are the same.
NAPA is a good source of parts and information.
During the build phase as I was purchasing some "truck specific" parts for my bus I asked a lot of questions about parts.
They can also get complete short or long blocks.
I think a new long block was in the 2500.00 range.

Napa has everything for my 345, just tell them its a 1700 and they will know what you need.

There were a few configurations of alternators and generators, but other than that no specific information has been needed.
