1988 gmc with the 8.2l diesel ac options

Hey all looking for ac options. I know there is the window shaker option but any retrofits for ac while driving engine powered compressor or inverter powered window shaker, or a generator to power the ac while driving?

Depending on how much room you have in the engine compartment, you may be able to add a conventional a/c compressor. Usually calls for a custom bracket and new belt, but it is done all the time. I am adding one on to the Cummins 4BT in my narrow-nosed '46 Chevy. Will also have a window unit for when the engine is not running, but it is mounted at the rear of the roof and will run off the genny, shorepower or occasionally...batteries for brief periods.

I saw this video of a mini split. Do you guys think there is an inverter that can power something like this?

I love that video. I posted it a while back in the "split as" thread

A mini split system, perched flat on the roof or under the body of the bus, would be slick. Also, this could possibly be ducted, if a guy was good.
