1993 Ford B700 Lucas Girling Brake Question - need help quickly

Hi All,

I'm looking at buying a 1993 Ford B700 bus which is perfect for me in every way but I fear that it has the dreaded Lucas Girling brakes. I asked the owner (it's too far from me to go look at before purchasing) and his response was that it had "traditional style hydraulic brakes." I'm not entirely confident with that answer. I did as for clarity, so hoping he gets back to me. That said, I wanted to ask you, experts, on here if all B700s have the Lucas Girling system, or is it possible to find one without?

I'm trying to make a decision in the next day or two, so if you have any advice, I'd love to hear it! Thanks!

Ask them if the parking brake has a yellow knob on the dash for the parking brake. If so I think you will find that it has the world famous L/G brake system. We had a lot of problems here in the oilfields with them on the F600 and F700 trucks. The parking brake systems would fail on a regular basis.
