2006 Thomas starts but won't gas or fast idle

We have finished a roof raise on a rear-engine 2006 Thomas with air ride. The emergency doors, AC, and lift door were taken out.

The bus starts but the gas pedal is now unresponsive. It also will not allow us to switch into fast idle.

Is this due to the interlock system many buses have? Or something else entirely.

Has anyone else experienced this?

Thanks in advance,

The interlock usually won't let the bus start, but I'm not sure on the Thomas. What is the drivetrain in it? Cummins? Cat?

I know older buses had air throttle, but it seems to me that everything is fly by wire since the early 2000s.

On edit...

This is a good thought. We will check over the air system- Thanks very much!

I had part of your problem 3 years ago.
My fast idle worked but a new Throttle position( TPS )sensor fixed my problem.

Here is my “Help” thread.

* my bus has a fuse for fast idle.

* TPS is the thing with wires thats on your GO pedal.
