99 +/- International TCM

I crawled under by bus to get the TCM info only to find all the labels missing. Does anyone have one of these buses that can give me a part# for the MD3060 TCM?

I found a picture of mine TCM.
I took this pic when I first bought my bus and my push pad went dark.

My tcm is not eligible for 6th gear unlock as it has the wrong (smaller) eprom and does not have enough space for re-programming, do I have been told by the experts..

Doesn't sound right. Allison just said my bus was too old, which makes no sense. They just don't want liability that they are not responsible for. We have the same bus, except yours is RE, and I have never been told the TCM could not be unlocked.

interesting.. that looks like an early WTEC-III TCM.. I wasnt aware of the EPROM differences but I know they made some significant changes to the programs in the 00+ TCMs.. I just figured it was to support the 1000/2000 coming into production.


mark really the only way to figure that one out is to read the CIN with DOC and then get a CIN report to show all the parameters.. or look through DOC at the various settings.

Here is some info on needing the 500k ROM in order to be able to program for unlock.

When the manufacturer says it too old they are probably saying that because of the ROM size.

If you purchase a new WT3, a 6-spd cal upgrade is currently free if you want one. *NOTE: We only work with 500KB ROM WTEC3s – 29537291 / WT3ECU909 or (numerically) higher. If yours is an old 250KB variant you will need to update.
