A few questions from a newbie?

Thank you in advance for answering my questions... i am sure the answers are in this sight just have not got use to searching it yet....in du time
the first Q is when welding on the bus ie body or frame do i need to disconnect any thing else besides the batteries?
second Q is i am thinking of taking the front and rear heaters out i do no see me using them much if the only time you can is when the bus is running.....am i right on that ans is taking them out a common process...?
the third is a do you see any thing wrong with my process to fix this rust issue i have sum of the front end brackets and sub floor frame with heavy rust and think i need to remove and replace kinda a big deal for my first project but i want to do this right....i am a experienced gunsmith and metal worker so nbd their just want to make sure yall are not like you big idiot you forgot this.... thanks again for this great community! video of rust area...

i removed my heaters and just reconnected the antifreeze hose back to itself inside the engine compartment

Question #1; Definitely disconnect your batteries.

#2; Yes, many people remove especially the rear heaters, often relocating them to the passenger area behind the driver.

#3; Most people that are complaining about rust are generally referring to the floor, but also sometimes the frame. I've never seen anyone fix rust issues on the front of the bus. If it's still structurally sound I'd leave it be. If it feels weak at all I'd try to reinforce it without removing the original metal.
