Adhesive before rustoleum??

Hello!
Is there any point to getting off all the small patches of left over residue from the adhesive before painting our floors?? It’s very tedious and I’m wondering if we could just leave it and apply the rustoleum over top?

please fill out your profile for exactly what bus you have.
different responses for different manufacturers.
my big thomas bus had the rubber glued directly down my second bus had plywood liquid nailed down to corrugated tin.
the builders use different methods and techniques.
its hard to give you an answer until we know what you are working with.

Sounds good, I’m new to this forum and not sure how to use it yet. We have a 2005 bluebird, cat engine, diesel, 40ft… not sure what other info, but I will try to upload a pic of the adhesive

Just paint over it. Rustoleum will stick fine to protect from rust. Your going to put foam and wood to protect the rustoleum.
