I've got an oil bath filter, but your warning reminds me I better check it. I assume I've got quite a few hornets in it.

Re: Air filter warning

Just checked my filter too...thanks for the reminder. It's easy to forget about things like that which can cause major repair bills if overlooked. I don't have a filter gauge on the dash so I need to do this more often, especially since the farming in the central valley area creates a lot of dust in the air.

Re: Air filter warning

Thanks - I check the filter gauge, but never wouldn't have thought to take the think apart and look at it.
I don't really need anything else on my 'to-do' list, but I'd rather find 'check air filter' on the list than 'replace engine''

I'll be getting a brand-new filter, instead of one that could have sat on a shelf for ten years or more,
Reading your post I got a visual on the filter factory scene - "Hey Bill - hold off on making that new filter - we got lucky, look what I found on the shelf (blowing dust off box) ..."

i was trying to start my onan generator yesterday, and found a mouse nest in the ductwork...hopefully none in the generator end... will be another few hours putting it back together esp if i have to disassemble generator head...

better check air cleaner while i am beside the back of the bus...

Re: Air filter warning

Right on - you dodged that 'happy accident' at the factory.
