Any advice about Trans Canada from SK to NS?

Possibly taking the bus to Nova Scotia to move some friends home. neither of them have their passports so I can't go through the USA for obvious reasons.

So anything to look out for on the great Canadian highway? I know to take the south way around Ontario and to fill up at thunder bay before going east lol. Oh and that Quebec is not very nice to drive through traffic wise.
