Any suggestions for a/c size?

I am going to put a window unit in my bus, but am unsure of what size to buy. We are not adding any insulation on the inside. This bus is going to be used for a hunting camp and we aren't worried about making it pretty.

Anybody got any words of wisdom for me?

I'd say at least 10K BTU's... I had my 5050 btu window AC in my bus once, and it barely cooled it down to the upper 70's and ran constantly.

We just put in a couple twin window 8500's in my brothers bus, in the back windows. Most of the time he uses just one and at night one keeps up pretty good. He had one of them in a side window but because of location even with fans running to blow the air around it just didn't do as good as the back window blowing forward.

One my short bus I have an older roof mount13500 that does alright but it isn't as good as the 5000 window unit in my van. That thing is just the right size as it will cool the inside of the van down fast and it will run with the honda 2000. Even one of the brothers 8500's will run from the honda. I have not seen how long it will run on a gallon running the air yet.
