Hi there,

I have two Alpicool fridges- one I use as a fridge, the other a freezer. One is a C15 and a C20. Basically the same model, one just has a higher top it. Thenfirst one was purchased in 2018 and the second in 2020. No issues with either of them and work well for my purposes. I would not hesitate to purchase again.

Those are pricey!!! If you don't need the portable capabilities and have 110v on your rig I'd recommend going with a 5-6 cu ft chest freezer modified to run on fridge temps.

I have a 3.9 that I use in this way and it draws about 16 watts (in 95° heat in my garage). I wonder how much of a drain that would be on a battery with an inverter.

For me the big downside is that I don't have a freezer this way. I'm wondering if I can convert a 1 cu ft mini-fridge that I have to be a dedicated freezer, and then rearrange the machinery part of it to fit into an oddly-shaped space.
