Automatic tire chains

Who else has these and what is your opinion of them. I live in the deep south and I had to google just to figure out what they are. I guess they could come in handy not knowing what adventures are down the road

I have a broken switch but I can wiggle it and deploy the chains. It looks like a dual throw switch. Is there something I need to know about chains that would require a 2 position switch? Again , switch broken, I can’t tell what position it’s in.Click image for larger version

The 2 blue wires are labeled “tire chain system”.

Thanks
