Awning (Electric)

Hello Skoolie friends-
I'm looking for an awning, 12-16' length and preferably electric, that doesn't use "legs or arms" to extend outward but only uses bars from the top of the bus that help it extend out from the top. I'm told it's called a "box awning." I got a price on one and I can't believe that someone hasn't come up with something that isn't so expensive. The windows of my bus extend the whole length of the bus which is why I can't have legs or arms from the awning. Can anyone recommend something?
Thanks all.

Mike in Atlanta

Building your own will probably work better and quicker. Pretty tricky to hang all that weight in midair without leg supports.

They're also called lateral arm awnings, and yeah, they're $$$$. Try craigslist or facebook. I see them on there from time to time in the length you're after for a few hundred bucks usually.

I have been searching on cl for 2 years for 10-14 footer and have only seen 2 adds. They are sold shortly after the add goes up.
