BEWARE OF THE JUNKYARD BUS!!!!

Today my friend Beto and I are riding back from our state capital (Santiago de Querétaro), and I tell him I know where there is an old American school bus we might cannibalize some parts from for our church sKoolie bus (1993 Ford B700, 5.9L Cummins). So there we are poking around, and suddenly this very large "shielded cable" on the engine firewall begins to wiggle! ???

Then we look under the dash by the pedals. Now I have heard of snaking a cable through the firewall before, but never thought they did it this way! ;D

Can you imagine driving down the highway, and have one of these friends slither out by the accelerator?

Hey: I am raising money for my bus. Give me a good offer, and I can send this fellow to your ex mother-in-law... ;)

No, we did not kill the snake. My friend Beto and I, as well as the owner of the used truck lot where this junked bus resides tried to help him get loose. But he is thoroughly stuck in a firewall hole, which must have been for a heater hose or something close to his body diameter. Most of his body is in the engine compartment. Maybe after he digests his food he can slither through. If not, the bus will be his yellow tomb.
