Bluebird Adjustable Steering Column

Have a 2005 Bluebird with a steering column that is adjustable up and dowm PLUS the tilt is adjustable. These functions work but are NOT locking tightly enough to keep the steering wheel from moving once set in position.

Does anyone know if these parts are Bluebird specific or are they manufactured by someone else? Need a replacement or fix!!

Look at Douglass auto tech. They have repair kits. I have a new one on the floor in front of me

A new kit or a new column?

I have a new, tilt telescope column. NOS from a place that bought leftovers from Monaco production. I have seen this same column in several different medium and heavy class trucks and buses.

I believe if you look you will find information on problems and repairs.

I had this same issue on the same year and model bus. I removed all the shrouds off my column and jsut gave the thing a good cleaning. This solved my issue.
