I was just about to put PVC board down instead on the floor, and am second thoughts.

Looks like the temperature range is too close, especially right next to the engine. 140 is the max.

I was hoping to put down a material that would not wick up water. Plus the pvc has some R value, but back to the drawing board

The current plan is to put down 3/4” foam. I have some xps, but I am hoping that HD has that other stuff that raises its R value as it gets hotter.

To keep the foam from crushing under the force of the bolts, I will be making spacers out of 1/2” OD steel tube that will be a few clicks thinner than the foam.

I plan to put vinyl flooring over the foam. Then make a foam mat to add to the insulation.

Hey, I liked you thread very good info. Over this past Holiday weekend we took up the floor in ours too. Alot more challenging than I original thought. 2 Quick tips we learned, if you got rivets, use a punch and drive the core back down inside or through. Makes drilling much easier. Also to pop up the plywood flooring in large pieces, use one of those big roofing shingle remover tools.
