BUILDING SITE in Chandler AZ.
Opinion Needed:
I've been offered a large plot of fenced in land, dirt. It was the shop space and storage lot at a racetrack right off I-10. Across the overpass from a Loves Truckstop. No covered parking, but the shop is air-conditioned, with plenty of light and bathrooms. I'm a van builder here in Phoenix, but my heart lives in a Schoolie. I'm thinking about setting up 2 workstations to be available to bus builders, with tools in the shop area, having basic material supplies (plywood, screws, etc.). I'm still trying to decide if this is a good idea or not. Your input would be appreciated. I haven't come up with pricing yet. Room for bus storage too. Thanks

Hi Steve, we're up North in Arizona off I-40 near Flagstaff. I definitely think there's a market for that. Check out the Cobbtown Acres location on Facebook or here: https://cobbtownacresllc.com/ They are pretty new and already often filled to capacity.
We looked into leasing the old Camping World building in Bellemont, just West of Flagstaff, which has 6 bays and has been vacant for a few years. But they want...drum roll...$30,000/month. So that's not happening! But we're actively looking up here. So, I think your vision could be viable.

What a great idea! I currently have my bus parked in my backyard but we have HOA so working on it is a no no sadly. I’ve been looking for somewhere I can move it so I can actually start on it and this sounds perfect!! definitely would help out a lot ppl that are in a similar situation!

How'd you far on making this into reality?
We have a project we're looking to knock out and she's currently residing in Gilbert.

I'm curious, too. I don't have an air conditioned shop, but I do have space for someone to work on a bus with power & water available. What sort of rates do people typically charge for this?

I'm in need of such a space. I have a 28 ft that's done with demo and is ready for the interior build, just need space. What did you come up with for rates?
