I've seen several shows on narrow boat living (aka canal boats) in various European countries. Always thought it would be cool to live on one. Too bad there are not as many rivers in the U.S. where you could do the same thing. I guess if you considered the Intercoastal Waterway on the East Coast, Great Lakes, Mississippi River, and various lakes then it has potential but in general I think Europe has many more rivers and canals that have been used for travel for centuries.
