Bus Heater leaking coolant at front.

Ok I have an 01 IH genesis FE. I noticed last time I drove the bus the bus main heater had a small drip from the heater radiator. I’m not even sure if the heater works to be honest. BUT, I just dabbed some sealant on it and it seemed to help but now it’s kinda pouring out. There seems to be a nice hole that is from the radiator and I was wondering if this line can just be pinched or capped?? Is it necessary for the engine to run?
Any help is appreciated, thanks.

Ok bypassed the coil, used 3/4” pex as that’s all I had.

BUT now there’s no power to bus. Turn key and nothing wants to work. Put meter on the batteries they are good.

Thoughts?

Thanks for the reply. Turns out through the 3 times of starting the bus today the battery connections somehow came loose just enough to cause nothing to turn over. Figured that out and got the leak bypassed. So bus is back and running now

For future reference, some Coca-Cola on the battery terminals can dissolve any oxidation compromising the battery's connection at the terminals.

pull the heater core and have it rebuilt at a radiator shop, it may not be the problem once you get into the middle of it.
