Bus height/roof raise woes

I am struggling right now to find a way to make a bus work for me. I am 6'3" and almost all of the busses I have been looking at are too short for me. Even busses with 77" ceiling height will be too little after insulating.

It seems that the only solution is for me to do a roof raise, but I have very minor experience with welding. I have heard doing a roof raise is fairly straightforward, but I am way out of element here. Is there anyone in NorCal that may be able to help me do this once I purchase my bus?

Any advice or help is much appreciated!

I'm not sure how active they are these days, but I seem to remember Transcendence travels about helping people with their skoolies. Not sure what, if any terms such arrangements are on. They have a YouTube channel called Transcend Existence. Might give them a shot.

Why not get an el chepo Harbor Freight Mig welder and learn how to melt metal? Get some scrap bed rails and have at it. There are plenty of good YT videos (welding tips and tricks) on how to set up a mig welder. Once you get it you'll be looking for stuff to weld.
