C2 Thomas 2012 -thoughts?

We are wondering if buying a short wheelbase 2012 freightliner C2 Thomas school bus (158” WB/Cummins 6.7L) is a good idea for a RV conversion. We want something small so we can drive to national parks, college football games, etc and would rather have this than a van due to the 78” interior height. We also want to haul 2 dirt bikes-300lb each and pull a race car trailer every now and then——how do these things ride and drive? If someone is driving 3000 miles per vacation, are they just as comfortable to drive as a heavy duty pickup or 1 ton transit van? The example we found has air seat and rear air suspension. I feel this would be a more solid vehicle than a van conversion. 100,000 miles and they are asking $28,000. Rust free. Also, can the black horizontal rub strips be removed to make the sides smooth like a limo or RV? Thanks.

Thanks. Mainly would like to know how comfortable this model is on the highway at 65-70mph. I grew up farming driving grain trucks and although I don’t need a plush ride, I would like something decent that we are not fatigued after driving 8-12 hrs to get to our destination. Like a small class B RV. I like this size—- the C2 is similar to the M2 which is the chassis most luxury class B/C are built upon. We would get a full inspection of the vehicle and drivetrain before buying.
