Find a casino.

Edit: if you're willing to travel, there are TONS of RV parking spots on the beaches. Some u pay, some u don't. The beach isn't too far from LA.

I don't know about long term but I'm in the SF Bay today, stayed at a walmart last night. Saw a highway rest stop that allowed up to 8 hours, saw another parking lot of a failed business that had about 12 campers of various type in it.

Share the locations with us?

When I was in SoCal in my bus 20 years ago I could not find ANY reasonable RV spots. Definitely not on the beach.

I would love to go back and spend some time on the beach if I could find reasonable (or free) places to stay.

Go to the 1 freeway and look along the coast, it will turn into the 101 and you'll find spots between Malibu and Santa Barbara.

"Near LA" is not good enough to help you at all.
Now is not the time to be all "grayman" and vague.

"L.A." is a HUGE area, and "near LA" can be as large as some Eastern States in that area.
Coachella is "near LA".

Tell where you are, within about 10 to 12 miles, and I can help you with a few places you can stay 4-5 days at least.
Highway/Interstate intersections will be a big help as well.

Where are you now ???
Where do you want to be nearby to ???
How long is "long term" for your stay ???

I think we just found a great idea for another forum section on skoolie.net

"Boondocking, Dry-camping, & Long-Term Locations"

We could all list places we have found.

State
County/Parish
City
Address
GPS Location
Description of the place

I have only seen a couple others on the WWW.

RV.NET and Freedom Of The Road -> Public Lands & Free Sites
