Captain Fantastic movie, tons of Schoolie footage

So, I spend 2 days a week on an airplane and I tend to see a few movies. Today I watched a movie called Captain Fantastic. It is about a family that lives off grid and has a schoolie that they travel in. The father is a very self reliant person, anti-government hippyish type person and raises his kids that way.
The movie is pretty good, but there is a ton of footage of the Blue school bus. It is a conversion that looks nice, flat front, front engine, ,Blue Bird I think from late 90's.
Another thing cool about it is there is a lot of footage of Western Washington and I-5. They even go into SeaTac Airport.
It's no Oscar winner, but the schoolie is a big part of the movie. Worth a watch.

hey thanks, looked it up and looks like a decent movie about bus and going off-grid. I will definitely give it a watch. Although the title is about as cheesy as the come its nice to see Aragorn going off-grid lol.

Never heard of this flick, but Viggo is certainly one of my favorite actors. Hildalgo, Eastern Promises, and The Road are a few of his great movies; I will certainly check this out! Looks quirky enough for me to enjoy, and just quirky enough to annoy my lady-friend!!

That's funny, my wife just re-watched Captain Fantastic this weekend on a plane.

We went and saw it in the theater last year when it came out. It's a great movie.

And after we saw it, my wife asked me if I'd be interested in converting a bus. I'd thought about it off and on for years, but had never really considered doing it until my wife saw the TC2000 in the movie and asked about it without knowing I'd ever thought about it before. Haha

It's a great movie, and neither too much the shirtless-guy-in-the-jungle-with-a-knife-in-his-teeth, nor too much of a chick flick. I highly recommend it, despite the fact (spoiler alert) that the bus gets turned into a chicken coop at the end.
