Re: Carpet the ceiling?? Polyiso insulation??
I'm considering doing something similar on the ceiling. I was thinking about glueing a thin carpet pad to the metal (the guy at the carpet store said to use a spray adhesive), then put fabric (probably from Wally World) over the top of that. Basically, like an automotive headliner. My wife seems to think that Elmers glue-all should work...I'm skeptical. We'll see when I get to it if it works! Good luck with yours.
Ben.

I don't think Elmer's will work. Try 3M elephant snot. That should work.

I can tell you that it works pretty good. I have bought many dozens of cans over the years. Just don't buy more than you need because it doesn't store well. I had full unused cans go bad.

I hope he doesn't have as many ribbits as the Blue Bird because it will take him about two years to cut those ribbits off. There must be 1 1/2 million ribbits on the inner roof.

Re: Carpet the ceiling?? Polyiso insulation??
will removal of inner roof panels result in some loss of structural integrity? If so any idea how much?

Re: Carpet the ceiling?? Polyiso insulation??
I glued foam insulation to the metal and then the carpet onto that using Liquid Nails...it worked really great and have not had any loose carpet or foam in over a year now.

Strictly for amusement; to illustrate what an interesting world we live in: I have a can of that 3M 77 glue that I use occationally for this and that -- maybe once every couple of years. Works great every time. I bought that can for the upholstery in my second roadster -- around 1990.

Re: Carpet the ceiling?? Polyiso insulation??
I just want to watch you guys vacuum the carpet! It should be a kick to watch! Hope you don't have pets... dusting the carpet on the ceiling for fleas would be a hoot!
