Craigslist

I just went to check out posting a service ad on CL. Looks like they are now charging $5 per post.

I've paid for "help wanted" posts before, I think it was like $35 for a tech job and all the responses I got were spam and indian outsourcing companies. It was not good value for money.

I saw that the other day. $5 isn't too bad IMO it might filter out worthless trash.

Really if someone is not willing to spend $5. what kind of "job" do they really have ?
I see so much worthless stuff on there. "Do this job for me and the next one will pay" "Do this job for me and you can put it on your resume"

It's not $5, it's $5 per ad and I run several on there daily. it's been free to run a service ad.

The service section how it was was unusable for many of us. I couldn't even use the service ad section for my business due to hackers.

For any kind of digital service that could possibly be done remotely 3rd world companies would fill the section with their ads. Then they would use muiltable IP addresses to flag any other ads.
So what you had was 3rd world hackers own the entire service section and no one else(legit companies) would just get flagged off.

Broken system owned by hackers.

$5. is still cheap. Newspapers used to charge $200. for service ads.
