Crazy to buy a donor bus?

Have been going through some mechanical repair stuff right now, and turns out busses are cheap, but parts are expensive. Has anybody out there but an extra parts bus off of auction just in case they need to rob something?

Mechanically I kind of worry about it sitting, but maybe there is a way to prepare one for that?

I`ve considered buying a bus body just for the sheet metal and hat channel if I do a roof raise - you can get a body only for $1 - $100 in Saskatchewan - problem for me is the expense of hauling it home - I have a tandem 18` deck over trailer, so hauling a short bus body is no problem, it`s just the gas and time involved
