OK Allwthrrider, it is clear that Nat_ster has Crown Envy.
Nat_star, you are absolutely right that Crown's curved windshields are far too expensive. Most Crowns were made with the flat windshields (like my '88 Crown and Allwthrrider's '88 Crown). However, if a skoolie is lucky enough to get a rare curved windshield, it is just like icing on the cake. That is why the original post was trying to find curved windshields. You always want a spare set. The beauty of a Crown with curved windshields is why they are in such demand if you can find one. My tandem Crown has a curved windshield and I think it looks much better than my '88 Crown with the standard flat one.
By the way, Flxible bus owners tell me that their curved windshields can be made for them in Mexico. I bet a Crown's curved windshield could also be made down there. You can have a mold made and then available when you need it. The manufacturer in Mexico would need an original Crown curved windshield to build the mold. I am sure much cheaper down there than having an American glass company custom make it.
