Engine Cover

I have an International flat nosed front engine bus. I would like to cover that humongous, ugly, hot engine cover that seems to take up the entire front of the bus. Does anybody have pictures showing what can be done to that area to make it cooler, quieter, and look better?
Or for that matter, how to improve the look, comfort, and useability of the entire cockpit area?

Also the area above the windshield is just a flat area going across and the dash is very thin and up close to the windshield. I've seen where people have small storage areas in the area above the windshield and also have a nice wooden dash area that's been customized. Any ideas how I could build ours out like that?

What did you end up doing? I'm just starting renovations on my flat nose international. I really want to at least replace the old engine cover cause ours is so beat up, but I can't find anything about it!
