Tornadoes reported in the area, or at least rumors of them.
I wonder how long I have electricity and internet.

We've still got power. A lot of wind and rain, but nothing too bad yet.

Sounds about right.
Getting worse by the hour, but we're so close to city hall, the armory, and the hospital that we're always last to lose power and first to get it back.
Transformers popping around the neighborhood, but our block still has power.
I kinda want to take the subaru out in it and film the wind and rain.

Latest storm track update from me tonight - storm is not making the projected westerly turn.. its heading due north and staying more inland.. this may weaken it quicker however it creates more of a direct path toward orlando and surrounding.. and spares the tampa / st pete area from the brunt of the eastern side of the storm... the center may pass just west of st pete...

I wouldnt take anythiung out - all it takes is one powerline to fall and stay live.. then you are blocked out from getting back..

Yeah looks like the eye is gonna go right over us tonight.
Sounds awful outside, wind is howling.

several of my corworkers reports from the greater orlando area.. lights are still on at one place.. minor damage to trees and buildings..

other just said she is safe but thinks there is a tree across one of their vans and part of house.. no lights..

st pete was spared the worst hit as the storm tracked inland slightly which allowed it to come apart quicker and kept tampa bay / st pete on the western side of the eye.. its still nasty outside so no one from my apartment building has been outside to walk to the bay and see how the boats faired.. the building itself didnt suffer any major damage other than people on the north side reporting water from the windows and balcony doors.. the lights are still on.. (its in downtown st pete).

an FYI - the light wispy clouds up here in columbus ohio. are actually the outer feeders of the Irma who's center is still well within florida!

C-Q-C-Q to ECCB??

We left in our bus and went to Alabama. We stayed at the National Peanut Festival Fairgrounds. Full 50amp hook up for free. The next night we stayed at Hank Williams Boyhood Home and Museum, 127 Rose Street, Georgiana, AL 36033 for free. The local churches had lunch and dinner for everyone that evacuated for the storm. They even sang happy birthday for my 3 yr son.
