Eyesight

A bit OT perhaps but if you can't see, you can't covert......Easily.

My right retina detached in early '13. have had numerous surgeries but eyesight is minimal.

The eye battle continues.

My good eye is crapping out now. Had an eval. and the retina has had a "stroke" Doc. gave me an injection (yes, in the eye) and TU I go for a laser treatment.

Every month I get another injection, who knows how long this will last.

If I advertise for a dog, you'll know things went south.

Hang in there. Hopefully it lasts long and keeps you going.

I have a friend who's going through something very similar. He's getting injections too.
Wishing all the best for you, Don!

Hang in there pardner and best of luck. I had a detachment problem several years back but it sorted itself out on its' own in a couple of years and is OK now. Here's hoping you have similar results.

Sorry Don to hear of your sight problems but I can relate. Just got back from 10 years of low vision and maybe 75%loss in both eyes. They couldn't even diagnose my sight issues, so I had to sit and wait, and get tested etc for years. Minutes seem like hours at that pace in life let me tell you.
To make a long story short, a year ago they did both eyes for cataracts about 4 months apart. one eye adjusted immediately with that. The other took a day or two. Now, I can see better than I ever did at any age and only need reading glasses after wearing prescription since 9 years old. Threw them away finally.
You got to get second opinions from experts. They all tell you something different I found.
Also, they tried the laser thing on me. 47 shots in each eye to no real affect that I could tell.
Lost my sight in an 8 hour period one Sunday. Three days later lost my wife to cancer. alone and in a mess like that, not a great place to find oneself. You can't imagine my journey to this day but all I can say is don't give up hope. Hang in there, something will change this.
Gonna say a lil prayer for you. Can't hurt I guess.

Take care
John

He blackJohn, Sorry to hear about all that.
Ditto on asking several experts, our experience as well but back to Don,

Great going Don, hope it sticks, no pun intended.

Good luck all of you out there with problems,

Thanks John and others.

2010. Had a cataracts in both eyes.
Right eye surgery, intraocular implant, I can see !

1 week later, new lens slips, surg. corrected.

2 weeks later, left eye gets new lens and all is great, throw away glasses and need only readers.

Spring 2013, something wrong in rt. eye. RETINAL DETACHMNENT! NO vision. Emergency surgery preformed, no usable vision.

2 weeks later, re-detachment and more surgery.

4 more surgeries and a/o today I have 20/400 (barely) in rt. eye and limited reading vision.

I now have retinal occlusion in lt. eye being treated by Retinal Specialists of AZ. Thankfully they fly to small towns like ours to treat us "country folk".

I am 71 y/o...That is a factor also.

Always sumthin.
