Feedback for post on Insulation

Hey everyone, would you be willing to give me your thoughts/feedback/corrections to my recent post on insulating your bus? My goal for it is to be a good resource that gives someone a general understanding of what to do, without going into exhaustive detail of every option. Let me know if there are more photos/explanations/diagrams that would be helpful.

I'm considering a paragraph about vapor barriers (basically, my take on it is that they don't really make sense for a bus, but I thought I should explain that) thoughts?

Thanks!

great job Sammy. #1 with propane heat if you use a vented model you wont have a moister issue. and #2 in the insulation pic shows the wood furring strip against the metal rib, it should have a thermal break between the two. just my 2 cents.

What sort of thermal break on top of ribs?

Good point on the propane, I'll add that in. On point #2, isn't the furring strip itself a half-way decent thermal break? I mean it's wood, so not perfect by any means, but seems like it would be adequate.

do you have a photo of what you used for a thermal break between the furring and the ribs? or can you just tell me what kind of material you'd recommend, and how you attached it.

per dave's album link in his post, it appears he used 1/2" blue foam board as thermal break material.

That was the first try but i ripped it all out. After i sprayed foamed even with the ribs i put 1/2 poly board up with a few screws here and there till i put the plywood strips up. I used self tappers to secure the strips to the ribs. I used a long piece of steel to shave of the excess foam using the ribs for a guide.
